Men, we were saying, with really particular characteristics.
On his identity card you read Valveri, Giovanni Battista Valveri, but only Gianni would be better, "Gianni of La Briciola", as they call him in Milan.
Milan, a working, cold, foggy town: ruthless and grateful towards those who really want to live there.
Milan, city to be drunk and eaten, Gianni adds.
And his story took shape here in Milan.
Gianni, the man from the South, has ideas and strength enough to feed an hungry Milan without being eaten.
More than twenty-five years lived day by day, dish after dish, restaurant after restaurant.
Years intensely lived, with a strong wish and a great skill to come out and grow to success.
His success, and the success of his restaurants: La Briciola and Il Giallo.

It is a success built day by day with his faithful team: Stefania Valsecchi, Gianni's skilful assistant; Michele Massimo, main chef; a team of waiters: Ricco Luigi, called "Enzo" or "Enzino", Nino, called "wild camel", Patrick Henry and Stefano. But above all his wife Fulvia, with whom he has been working and dividing everything since 1975; now she can advise him on management and financial questions both at La Briciola and at Il Giallo.
Gianni has a true brand; he is a man who knows what he wants and how to obtain it without losing himself.
